Tina Pat Sets to Empower Students Through Facebook Revenue

Manager of rising Kogi born Nigeria entertainer Ajemo, has announced that proceeds from her Facebook monetization will be dedicated to supporting students through the forthcoming COPAT NGO initiative.

The revelation came after Tina discovered that her personal Facebook page had quietly generated revenue, an effort she originally began to understand the monetization process for managing Ajemo’s official account. “I used my own account to learn the ropes, knowing if anything went wrong, it wouldn’t affect Ajemo’s page,” she explained.

While a mysterious God sent successfully activated monetization for the artist, Tina paid little attention to her own dashboard until recently. “I checked and saw a $2 balance. I was honestly shocked,” she said.

Despite the modest sum, Tina highlighted a broader concern: the limited support African content creators receive from major platforms like Facebook. “African creators face a huge disadvantage. In other regions, 1,000 views might earn $1. Here, it’s often just a cent. That gap is discouraging,” she noted.

She also addressed a growing trend among local creators, particularly within the Ebira community. “Many focus on popularity over purpose. But real content creation should be sustainable, it should pay. What’s the use of being known but not earning from your work?”

Tina’s solution is clear and inspiring. All proceeds from her Facebook monetization efforts will go toward COPAT NGO, a platform being developed to support educational initiatives and keep students from dropping out due to financial hardship, helping students stay in school.
