Kogi Auditor Light Up Student’s Community

Lokoja, Kogi State

The Auditor General for Local Governments, Kogi State Dr. Amb. Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege through the office of the Senior Special Assistant on Resource Mobilization, Hon. (Engr.) Habib Amoka, has partnered with the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) to illuminate the students’ community in Felele where over 15 poles of solar light were erected with CCTV Camera to monitor every activities taking place around the community.

This initiative which Hon Amoka Habib describes as a better measure to enhance security, foster a conducive learning environment, and improve the quality of life for students residing in the area. He said, This project reflects a shared commitment to development-driven governance and student welfare, implemented with the support of key stakeholders of the Government and the students’ union.

During the official presentation of the solar street lights, Hon. Amoka emphasized the power of collaboration in driving sustainable community growth. He commended the proactive spirit of NAKOSS President, Comr. Aliya Otokiti Orahachi, and reaffirmed the Office’s commitment to further initiatives that directly benefit students and the broader community.

NAKOSS representatives, led by Salihu Sameea, expressed their appreciation, noting that the project would significantly improve evening activities and security within the community.

Hon Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege through Hon Amoka Habib has pledged to deepen its engagement in community-based development, promising that this is only the beginning of broader efforts to sanitize student communities and support inclusive progress across Kogi State.
