The National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), Federal University Lokoja Chapter, paid a significant visit to the Kogi State House of Assembly, signaling a deepening collaboration between the student organization and state government officials. The delegation was led by NAKOSS President Aliya Orahachi Otokiti.
Upon arrival, the group was warmly received by Deputy Speaker Rt Hon (Mrs) Comfort Nwuchiola Egwaba. During the meeting, discussions focused on several pressing issues affecting students, including transportation challenges, the implementation of skill acquisition programs, and the establishment of relaxation centers. The conversations underscored the urgent need for state intervention to improve the welfare of students.
Deputy Speaker Egwaba commended President Otokiti for her exceptional leadership and steadfast commitment to student politics. She offered encouraging words and reiterated the importance of female inclusiveness in politics, a core value embraced by NAKOSS. In response, President Otokiti expressed her sincere gratitude for the warm reception and the valuable “Mother Advice” provided by the Deputy Speaker.
